ROSALIE ALEKSANDRA ANTER

The series “A day, a moment, a cycle” is about the search for external form, and movement within a constrained space. Each shape in the series is formed with continuous mark-making that creates a resemblance of a vibration.
Each piece in its own is like a time capsule, a moment frozen in time, and together they represent a time period as a whole. A day, a moment, a cycle all have starting and finishing points. They are durations of time, a period that begins and ends.
They are explorations of containment, of finding a heartbeat in an inanimate object. The marks are like beams from the subconscious flowing outward and framing the chaos inside the contours.
